We are currently accepting proposals for the following four exhibition slots:
For this slot we are inviting exhibition proposals involving sculptural artwork.
For this slot we are inviting exhibition proposals involving photography to coincide with Photomonth.
For this slot there is no theme, all exhibition proposals will be considered.
For this slot we are inviting exhibition proposals relating to installation or 3d work that will have visual impact when viewed from outside the gallery as the gallery will be closed between 18 December and 5 January.
All media and exhibition formats (solo shows, group shows and residencies) will be considered and we are happy to accept applications from groups and curators as well as individuals.
To apply please download and complete our proposal form. Add all information and images you wish to submit as part of your proposal to the proposal document and save it as a pdf. Please note that submissions in any other format will not be accepted and please do not include links to images on websites, all information must be within the proposal document. The proposal form can be found here on this website along with a plan of the gallery that gives dimensions of the space.

Please note that the gallery is run by volunteers and receives very little funding. To cover basic costs a fee is charged for each exhibition, details of this and further information regarding the terms and conditions of exhibiting with us can be found in the proposal form.
Deadline for submissions: Sunday 17 April 2016. We will contact successful applicants by the 15 May 2016.
Leytonstone Arts Trail is calling for artwork in response to the theme of Process and Preparation for an exhibition at the Stone Space from 4 to 28 February 2016.
The show hopes to provide insights into the working methods of local artists and provide a chance for visitors to get a tantalizing glimpse of the wealth of work that will be on show in the summer as part of the Leytonstone Arts Trail.
We are looking for work that shows the thought processes, risk-taking and creative environments of a whole range of artists. We welcome preparatory work from right across the spectrum such as artists’ proofs, studio photographs, texts, mockups, sketches, models, drafts, experiments and sketchbooks.
Artists are invited to submit images of up to three pieces for consideration to Mail@Leytonstoneartstrail.org
All media will be considered (please provide details of media, dimensions, and price if the work is for sale). Any size of work will be considered but please be aware that this is a group exhibition and take the size of the gallery into account. Details regarding the size of the gallery space are available here.
The deadline for submissions has been extended to Monday 11 January 2016. There is no charge to submit work and all submissions received before the deadline will be acknowledged.
Studio4 are organising a group show at The Stone Space from 5 to 29 November 2015 (a private view will be held on Friday 6 November).
The exhibition will be titled ‘A spacebetween’ and they are looking for artists whose work goes beyond figuration and inhabits the space between perceived reality and abstraction.
Artists are invited to submit images of 2 pieces of work for consideration along with a short statement explaining how they feel their work relates to the exhibition theme to email@example.com. All media will be considered (please provide details of media, dimensions, price etc.) Details regarding the size of the gallery space are available on the Stone Space website.
Deadline for submissions: 5 September 2015
There is no charge to submit work and all submissions received before the deadline will be acknowledged. Artists who are selected to exhibit will be asked to contribute a small sum to cover the costs of printing flyers and the private view, expected to be approx £10. A commission of 40% will apply to any works sold.

Artists involved in the Stone Space steering group and exhibitions, will be showing work at a one day open hang in aid of Mind this Saturday the 17th Dec from 7pm – If you are an artist – why not bring along a couple of pieces of your work to show? Hanging times are between 11am and 3pm at 66 Norlington Road Leyton E10 6LA, Near to Midland road overground or jump off the w16 (not literally) at the sidings and it’s a 2 min walk.

Our winter holiday season show in the Stone Space from 15 December 2011 to 6 January 2012 will be an exuberant display of decorative art to lift the winter spirits. We are putting the call out widely among artists. Everyone is welcome to submit one or more pieces. The work can be wall or ceiling hung or free standing. Work can reflect any winter festivity from the Solstice, through Christmas, St Tephens and New Year to the Three Kings and Twelfth Night. Continue reading
